A Registered Acupuncturist is part of the ministry of health as a regulated profession and is one of the safest medical modalities. An Acupuncturist tries to create an optimal environment for the bodies own natural healing processes and to restore maximum function thereafter. Utilizing the Neurological, the Endocrine and the Immune systems acupuncture techniques create a cascading effect signalling in the body to move towards a balanced homeostasis. Acupuncture allows the body to find its way back to health very quickly as blockages in flow are removed and normal flow enhanced. It is an ancient system that continues to be refined and improved as the science and experience grow. There are over 13000 studies on Acupuncture and there is robust evidence for neck, shoulder and knee pain as well as headaches. There is multiple studies showing positive effects for plantar heel pain, anxiety, depression, TMJ, IBS , insomnia and Asthma in Adults.
